Non-resident status

01
Individuals

In simple terms, a non-resident is a person who permanently lives abroad. However, for legal purposes, the status is determined by a strict hierarchy of criteria:

  • Centre of vital interests: If a person has closer personal or economic ties with another country (for example, their family lives there or their primary business is registered there), they may be considered a non-resident.
  • 183-day rule: If a person spends fewer than 183 days in total in Ukraine during a calendar year, they are generally considered a non-resident.
  • Citizenship: If status cannot be determined by the above criteria, the person is considered a resident of the country whose citizenship they hold.

Important: A Ukrainian citizen can be a non-resident if they permanently reside abroad. Conversely, a foreign national can become a tax resident of Ukraine.

02
Legal entities (companies)

Non-residents include:

  • Companies incorporated and registered under the laws of other countries.
  • Company branches and representative offices located in Ukraine that do not have a legal entity status.
  • Diplomatic missions, consular offices, and other official representations of foreign countries in Ukraine.

By investing in domestic government bonds, you not only make a contribution to the noble cause of supporting Ukraine — you also unlock opportunities for financial returns.

Why these investments are attractive:

01
Bonds are a stable and reliable way to invest.

The government guarantees payments on these securities, ensuring their reliability and minimizing risks. In pursuit of peace and stability, the government is committed to meeting its financial obligations — giving you a dependable investment instrument.

02
Investments in "peace bonds" offer the potential for attractive returns.

As Ukraine confidently withstands aggression and works toward stabilization, conditions are being created for further economic growth and development. This positive trajectory forms an environment where your investments can generate returns over the long term.

03
A simplified investment process ensures convenience for investors from around the world.

The accessibility of the instrument allows you to make informed decisions and capitalize on the opportunities that come with supporting Ukraine.

Moreover, investing in government bonds allows you to align financial goals with a higher purpose. Your funds are directed toward humanitarian aid for Ukrainians affected by the conflict and toward strengthening the country's defense capabilities. This dual impact allows you to pursue financial gain while also making a positive social contribution and feeling part of something greater.

In summary: investing in Ukrainian government bonds is a combination of stability, potential returns, convenience, and the opportunity to support a worthy cause.
